The Latest AFD (area forecast discussion) from the NWS is not too promising if you were hoping for a rain-free, storm-less weekend.
"MOST PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. HEAVY RAIN WILL BE A CONCERN WITH THE GROUND IN MANY AREAS ALREADY SATURATED. SOME OF THE STORMS WILL BECOME SEVERE IN SOUTH ARKANSAS TONIGHT."
After the week the Midsouth has experienced, more storms are anticipated the next 2-3 days.
Don't forget to turn your weather radio back on (it does become annoying sometimes doesn't it) if you have it switched off. Better to bothered than buried !
