It's Official: EF1 Tornado Blows thru Drew County

The National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday what most people that suffered damage earlier in the morning already knew- a tornado made a brief but pronounced visit to our area.
The tornado path was about 2.1 miles, cutting a swath from 3.9 miles NNW of Monticello to 2.6 miles N of Monticello.
EF-1 tornadoes produce winds speeds that are between 86-110 MPH, or the speed that some of us have to drive to get to work or church on time( just kidding :) !!!
Thankfully, there were few injuries and no fatalities resulting from this latest round of severe weather.
For damage photos of this event, check out My Monticello News or Monticello Live.
In the long-term, flooding may be more of a concern. A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the lower Saline RIver.
