The Monticello/Drew County area sustained considerable wind damage when a tornadic-warned storm moved SEWD across Drew County around 5 a.m. this morning.
No official confirmation from the NWS as to whether it was a tornado or just high winds associated with the severe thunderstorm. But if you seen the radar image on the TV and the classic "hook" echo, it was not a storm to be taken lightly.
To make matters worse, heavy rains have been falling most of the morning.
